HOdo Group Has Been Caring for Centenarians for Seven Consecutive Years

On May 8, HOdo Group held a charity activity to care for centenarians in the morning. Six elderly people who had just turned 100 years old in Donggang received 100,000 YUAN each. Since its establishment, Wuxi Yaoting Charity Foundation has held charity activities of caring for centenarians for seven consecutive years and has distributed 6 million yuan of love subsidy to 60 centenarians in total.
"HOdo Love Taxus Life" is a charity activity and another practical action of HOdo Group to practice social responsibility. While setting up industries, Jian Zhang also actively set up education and social public welfare undertakings, benefiting the hometown and the people, and having far-reaching influence, was the pioneer and model of Chinese private entrepreneurs. Haijiang Zhou, the chairman of the Board of Directors of HOdo Group, a private enterprise in Jiangsu province, said that when private entrepreneurs become rich, they should follow the lead of others, carry forward the spirit of Jian Zhang by adhering to the real economy, patriotism, social responsibility; and play the leading role for others.
At the event, Guoqing Wang, former deputy director of the Committee of Foreign Affairs of the CPPCC National Committee, spokesman of the first session of the 13th CPPCC National Committee and former deputy director of The State Council Information Office, highly praised HOdo's contribution. Linsen Zhou, Yaoting Zhou and Haijiang Zhou, the third generation of HOdo Group leaders, are all party members. Helping the poor and making money for their neighbours are their common sentiments for the country, and their original aspiration is to be enthusiastic about social welfare and fulfill social responsibilities. Wuxi Yaoting charitable foundation holds annual public welfare activities to promote enterprise and fulfill the social responsibility of a new level. They perform the enterprise's social responsibility more systematically and explicitly, fully embodying the new era of private enterprise's strong social sense of responsibility. Party members' private entrepreneurs pay attention to the "concept to righteousness first" noble quality. They have achieved success in running the enterprise and devoted substantial financial resources and energy to the public welfare undertakings. These contribute to many touching stories, which reflect the noble spirit of private enterprises actively fulfilling their social responsibilities and helping the rich first and helping the rich later, which has been recognized and respected by society and people.
HOdo always does not forget to benefit at the people's initial heart over 60 years. In 1957, Linsen Zhou and three cotton carpenters partnered to run mutual assistance society to lead villagers to live a good life. In 1983, Yaoting Zhou took over the dying knitting factory with his fellow villagers' hopes for a better life. At the end of 1987, Haijiang Zhou became the first university teacher in China to resign from public office to promote his fellow villagers' prosperity. Through the efforts of three generations of communist party leaders, HOdo has ranked among the top 100 private enterprises in China, created 100,000 jobs, and has two industrial parks, two prominent board-listed companies and three well-known trademarks. It has become an outstanding representative of Private enterprises in China. These achievements result from their insistence on "listening to the Party, following the Party, and paying attention to the party's kindness." Also, their commitment to the red gene of serving the country, benefiting people and all parties.
As for sticking to social responsibility, Haijiang Zhou said that HOdo Group has been committed to achieving win-win results with shareholders, employees, customers, suppliers, partners, government, environment and society (community). In 2020, when the pandemic broke out, the country called on HOdo to respond. "For the party, the country and the people, HOdo should race against time." Whether it is caring for centenarians or supporting the country in the fight against the epidemic, this is a corporate social responsibility behaviour.
